Thinking about upgrading your plan? Here’s what actually happens when you switch, including how charges and timing work.
Upgrading between monthly plans
If you move from one monthly plan to another, you won’t be charged the full amount twice.
The system automatically credits what you’ve already paid and only charges the difference.
For example, if you’re on a $10 plan and switch to a $49 plan on the same day, you’ll only be charged $39.
That credit decreases over time. So, if you upgrade later in your billing cycle, the amount credited will be lower.
Your new plan starts right away.
Switching from monthly to yearly
Switching to a yearly plan works a bit differently.
There’s no immediate charge. You’ll stay on your current monthly plan until the end of your billing cycle. On your next billing date, you’ll be charged for the yearly plan and your subscription will switch over.

Upgrading between yearly plans
If you’re already on a yearly plan and move to a higher tier, the change takes effect right away, and your billing adjusts automatically.
How free trials work
The free trial is a one-time courtesy available on Monthly plans.
If you’ve already used it before, you’ll see a message at checkout letting you know it’s no longer available.
Once you start a trial, you can track how many days are left directly in your Account area. It will also show when the charge is scheduled.
If you switch to another monthly plan during the trial, the trial continues as normal. The only thing that changes is the amount charged at the end.
If you choose a yearly plan during the trial, the same logic applies. You’ll keep access until the trial ends, and then the subscription will convert to the yearly plan.
After you upgrade
Any changes to your plan are confirmed by email, along with your invoice. Your account will reflect the new plan as soon as it takes effect.
About Lifetime plans
Lifetime plans are no longer available.
If you already have one, you’ll keep access as long as you don’t cancel or upgrade.
If you do either, the Lifetime plan is permanently removed and can’t be restored.
It’s also no longer possible to upgrade from one Lifetime plan to another. If you switch to a monthly or yearly plan, it fully replaces your Lifetime access.
