Effective user management in AnswerThePublic ensures secure access and optimal collaboration for SEO success. This article provides an overview for administrators on adding, removing, and managing users, along with plan-specific limitations.
The Account Administrator Role
The administrator is central to user management, with exclusive authority to invite or remove users and assign roles. This role is responsible for overseeing account access, ensuring only authorized users can utilize AnswerThePublic’s features.
Inviting Users
To invite new users, the administrator should:
1. Log in and navigate to Account > Account Settings.
2. In the Users section, select "Invite Teammate," then enter the user's email. Each invited user will receive a link to set up their credentials.
Changing User Roles
Admins can assign or remove admin privileges for invited users. In the Users section, next to each user's email, use the Change Role button to switch between User and Admin roles as needed.
Steps to Promote a User to Admin
1. Navigate to the Account Settings.
2.Select "Manage Users."
- Click on the dropdown menu next to the user's name.
- Choose the "Admin" role.
- Click "Change Role" to finalize the update.
Removing Users
Only the admin can remove users from the account. Invited users can remove themselves but cannot remove other users or invite new ones. To remove a user:
1. Go to Account > Account Settings and select Manage Users.
2. Locate the user to be removed and click the “Remove User” button.
User Limits by Subscription Plan
Each AnswerThePublic subscription plan has specific user allowances:
- Individual: Allows one user; designed for solo SEO management.
- Pro: Allows up to three users, ideal for small marketing teams.
- Expert: Offers unlimited users, suitable for large teams or agencies managing multiple clients.
Permissions and Access for Invited Users
Invited users enjoy the same feature access as the admin but with restricted permissions—they can only view and interact with features, unable to add or remove users.
