Some users from India have experienced declines from the bank when attempting to purchase a plan with AnswerThePublic.
The payment has been declined because your bank couldn't receive your authorization. In efforts to improve the safety and security of card transactions in India, new recurring payment rules have been introduced. Since 2021, all recurring payments have required user authorization using the One Time Password. Read more about changes implemented by the Reserve Bank of India here:
If your AnswerThePublic subscription is paid by credit or debit card, your bank will notify you before the recurring subscription payment. Every payment must be authorized before the payment date.
Consider changing your payment method to a card issued by HDFC, ICICI, or Axis. AnswerThePublic users with cards issued by these banks report better user experience when approving recurring monthly subscription payments.
All Cards Were Declined. Are There Any Other Payment Options?
If all credit or debit cards are declined, we recommend switching to PayPal. Please look at this option if you are paying for your subscription in USD. PayPal will deduct monthly payments without the need to authorize it with your bank in advance.
In the Account area> Subscription> Change Payment Card, you can change your payment method from Card Payments to PayPal.
If you need help with your subscription, feel free to email us at support@answerthepublic.com.
